William Austin Wilson, Jr.
Bill was born on July 25, 1962, in Blue Island, Illinois to the union of William A. Wilson, Sr. and Linda Tucker Wilson. He was married on August 8, 2009 to Denise Carnes in Bloomington Illinois.
Bill received his formal education in Illinois graduating from Illinois State University with a Bachler of Science in Communication. While confessing Christ at an early age, Bill received his Masters in Divinity at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. Bill continued to follow God’s lead by becoming a church planter for the Evangelical Free Church in Wichita, Kansas. His vision there was to share the love of Jesus Christ and to build up people through God’s love and foundational principles found in the word of God. Bill came to Bloomington, Illinois where he raised a family and started his career as a Systems Analyst at State Farm. He was a loyal, devoted employee to the State Farm family where he retired after 19 years of service.
Bill was a well respected and loving man with a heart of gold and willing to help anyone in need. His sense of humor was contagious. He loved to see people happy and to make them smile. Bill loved to cook and had many favorite places to eat. If you knew Bill at all, you know he loved Aurelio’s Pizza.
After showing his family courage during his 8 months of illness, on Sunday, November 14, 2021 Bill answered God’s call to enter into Heaven. His family and friends will miss him terribly but have many memories to cherish.
