Obituary

Lea Ann Waugh, 65, of Hudson, passed away at 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Humane Society of Central Illinois or Wish Bone Canine Rescue.

Lea Ann was born on June 14, 1955 in Bloomington, a daughter to Warren and Beverly Boggs Miller. She married John Waugh on November 6, 1987 at their home in Normal.

She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, John Waugh, of Hudson; children, Matthew (Brendaly) Eaton of Kansas City, KS, Ashley Waugh of Hudson, and Courtney (Verl) Prather of Atlanta, IL; grandchildren, Presley, Ethan, Adalee, and Kyleigh, and sister, Amy Miller of Normal. She is also survived by her two dogs, Libby and Abby.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Lea Ann was a lifelong resident of Bloomington/Normal and was a real estate agent in the community for over 30 years. She served as President for PTO Fundraising with Unit 5, was past President of the Bloomington/Normal Junior Woman's Club, recipient of the President's Choice Award with Bloomington/Normal Association of Realtors for volunteering and fundraising and was involved in many other volunteer organizations.

Lea Ann loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed antiques, decorating and staging homes, cooking and reading. Lea Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be greatly missed.
