Marilyn Ann Patterson

August 17, 1964 ~ July 16, 2021 (age 56)


Marilyn Ann Patterson, 56, of Bloomington, passed away at 2:41 p.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.

Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 26, 2021 at Kibler Brady Ruestman Memorial Home with Bishop Edward T. McGhee officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Bloomington. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

Marilyn was born on August 17, 1964 in Charleston, MO, a daughter of Willie and Shirley Harris Powell. She married Daniel Guy Patterson on January 11, 2001 in Bloomington.

Surviving are her loving husband, Daniel Patterson of Bloomington; sons, Chris (Kelsey) Powell of El Paso, Troy Patterson of Bloomington, Seneca Patterson of Bloomington; mother, Shirley Powell; grandchildren, Riley Powell, Seniyah Patterson, Antanesha Patterson, Arianna Hester, Shania Walls, Damani Jarrett, Martez Campbell, Tremel Miramontes, Jaylen Caho; great grandchildren, Savion Kelley, Lamyah Kelley, King Matthew, siblings, Burnette Duncan of Paducah, KY, William Powell of St Louis, MO, Richard Powell of New Madrid, MO, Kevin Powell of Charleston, MO and cousins who were like brothers to her, Michael and Reggie.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Powell.

Marilyn was a Unit 5 bus monitor and a member of Alpha & Omega Church of the Apostolic Authority Bloomington. She enjoyed Bingo, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her beautiful smile will be remembered by all those who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
